Motoridersafety.org is a direct result of what happened to me on that dreadful day of March 30th, 2005 and how that one incident changed my life.
I have always been a positive and optimistic person and I refuse to let something as petty as being run over by 34,000 pounds of gravel and machine stop me.
This site is designed to tell my story of what happened, but more importantly, tell the story of how it could have been prevented.
Every year, thousands of cyclists, pedestrians, drivers and motorcyclists, all around the world are involved in an accident involving a large truck, where they were run over permanently injured or killed. If the Department of Transportation passed a law which motoridersafety.org is proposing, most of the injuries and fatalities could be avoided.
